THE THIRD ANNUAL BIG DOG FAT CAT KDW SHOOTOUT CHALLENGES YOU TO FISH FOR A GREATER PURPOSE!
It’s estimated that each year approximately 3.7 million dogs and cats are euthanized in our nation’s shelters; more than 10,000 animals a day. Due to the down economy, shelters are reporting a 20% increase in surrendered pets and similar increases in "economic euthanasia" requested by devestated family members. The vast majority of the proceeds from the Big Dog Fat Cat KDW Shootout will help our local pet population by donating proceeds to the Big Dog Rescue Ranch and Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center.
YOUR PURPOSE? ENJOY A DAY ON THE WATER TO HELP OUR FURRY FRIENDS.
Additionally, our equine friends at Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center will share the success of the Big Dog Fat Cat KDW Shootout. For 30 years, Vinceremos has shared the healing power of horses with families in our community. Each day, the horses work to bring healing to the broken; to mend mind, body, and soul through powerful human-equine relationships. The impact that the 24 horses of Vinceremos make day upon day is unparalleled, and they deserve to receive the best possible care. Helping the horses that help the people of our community makes us proud to partner with Vinceremos.

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report: Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Sailfish, And Bonito Biting For Charters

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report: This week’s Fort Lauderdale fishing report is brought to you by Bella Mar Yacht Charters, one of the most experienced and reputable charter boat operations in South Florida. They are reporting that there is still plenty of availability for deep sea fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale this Summer, and you can reach them by calling Chris (Owner) at 1-855-535-FISH or emailing him at chris@bellamaryachtcharters.com. Enjoy this weeks report

Offshore Fishing Report: Summer is officially upon us, and great deep sea fishing has arrived with it. Most of our half day charters have been consisting of trolling or live baiting along the deeper edges of the reefs in 80-150 feet of water. This is the fishing zone where most of the forage fish exist, and pelagic species invade these areas this time of year to grab an easy snack. We have been averaging around 6 fish per trip, and on the really good days we have been catching as many as 20 fish including bonito, kingfish, blackfin tuna, sailfish, and barracuda. Kite fishing with live baits has been taking the bigger fish, but we are seeing a much larger quantity of smaller fish while trolling. This is due to the fact that trolling allows us to cover more water to locate where the highest concentrations of pelagic species are holding offshore. The only disappointment as of late has been the lack of mahi mahi or dolphin fish available within the range of a half day Fort Lauderdale fishing charter. Other than that, we are experiencing the best fishing of the year so far during the Summer of 2013.
